Concrete patios for Kyle backyards. Poured level, sloped to drain.

New patios, bigger patios, and patios rebuilt from scratch when the old slab cracked, sank, or tipped toward the house. We read how water moves across your yard first, then we pour. Serving Kyle, Buda and San Marcos.

Slope away from the house

Every patio we pour falls away from your slab, so rain leaves the back door and heads for the yard, a swale or a drain.

What we build first

Patios are the whole point. Two ways to get a good one.

Most Kyle homes came with a small builder slab out back. You can pour a new patio where there was only grass, or tear out the old one and build it right. Either way it starts with the base and the slope.

01 · Patio construction

Concrete Patio Construction

Poured concrete patios with integrated drainage pitch and finish options from broom to exposed aggregate.

  • Your backyard is all grass and you want a place for a table, a grill or a fire pit
  • The builder slab fits two chairs and nothing else
  • You are adding a pergola, outdoor kitchen or hot tub and need a solid surface under it
  • You want a patio that ties into a new pool deck or walkway
02 · Tear-out and rebuild

Patio Tear-Out and Rebuild

Removal of a cracked, sloped, or undersized patio and a new one built larger, level, and draining away from the house.

  • Water pools on the patio or by the back door after rain
  • The slab slopes toward the house instead of away from it
  • Cracks run across the slab and keep getting wider
  • One corner or edge has sunk below the lawn

Finishes and pool decks

The finished pattern matters. So does the base beneath it.

Once the slab is right, the surface is where it becomes yours. Pick a pattern and color for the patio, or carry it around the pool with a surface made for bare feet.

Stamped and stained

Stamped Concrete

Decorative, colored, and textured concrete with stone, brick, or wood patterns, fiber-reinforced and properly jointed for Central Texas heat. Includes stained and colored finishes that elevate standard slabs.

You see the surface. It lasts because of what's under it.

Kyle soil moves. A patio poured straight on the ground with no base and no slope is the one that cracks, sinks at the corner, and sends water back to the door. Here is the patio we build instead.

Built for Hays County ground

Two soils meet here. Your patio should know which one it's on.

Kyle, Buda and San Marcos straddle the I-35 corridor between Blackland Prairie clay and the limestone edge of the Hill Country. Two yards a few miles apart can need different prep. We check before we quote.

SlabBase + fabricSwells wetShrinks dryExpansive clay

Ground that swells and shrinks

Dark clay soaks up rain, swells, then pulls back and cracks in a dry August. A compacted base and fabric under the slab keep that movement from reaching the concrete.

Caliche and limestone near the surface

Some lots hit hard rock a few inches down. That changes how we dig, grade and set the slab height against the door threshold.

Dry windPour early, keep it dampSummer heat

Pouring in triple digits

Hot, dry wind pulls water out of fresh concrete too fast. In summer we pour early, keep the slab damp while it cures, and cut joints on time.

Where we pour

Kyle, Buda and San Marcos. Neighborhood by neighborhood.

Most patios here sit behind homes built in the last twenty-five years, on small builder slabs. Many neighborhoods have an HOA, so we draw your layout for you to submit.

How much does a concrete patio cost in Kyle?

It depends on size, tear-out, base depth and finish. A broom-finish patio and a stamped, stained patio are different projects. After the on-site assessment you get a realistic range in writing, before anything is formed.

Can you pour over my old patio?

Sometimes, but usually not. If the old slab is cracked, sinking or pitched toward the house, pouring over it carries those problems into the new one. Most Kyle-area builder patios get torn out so we can fix the base and the slope.

Will my new patio crack?

All concrete can crack. The goal is to control where. A compacted base, reinforcement, and control joints cut at the right spacing mean any cracking follows the joint lines instead of running across the slab.

Why does water pool by my back door?

Usually the patio is flat or tilted toward the house, or the ground around it settled. A rebuilt patio is pitched away from the foundation so rain leaves the door and moves to the yard.

How soon can we use the new patio?

Light foot traffic comes first, furniture a little later, and full strength takes several weeks. Your crew lead gives you exact days for your pour and the weather that week.

Do I need HOA approval?

Many neighborhoods in Kyle, Buda and San Marcos have guidelines for backyard work. We provide a drawn layout and finish details you can submit.
